Sports Park Bridge
Steel and Precast Erection
O’Fallon, Missouri

The City of O’Fallon, Missouri selected the Kuhlmann Design Group to engineer a new bridge to span Dardenne Creek to provide access to their Sports Park.  ACME Erectors, under contract to RV Wagner Incorporated, erected the wide-flanged steel beams, precast concrete decking and barricade rails for the bridge.

The bridge, which is a three-span structure, is 114 feet in length, and 22.5 feet wide. The bridge structure is constructed of 12, W21x101 primary beams, with twelve inch channel diaphragms, and a deck consisting of 42 prestressed, precast concrete planks, weighing approximately one ton each.
