Remove and Re-erect “Sky Screamer”
Shuttle Coaster Houston, Texas and Eureka, Missouri
Six Flags St. Louis contracted with ACME
Erectors for the removal, storage and re-erection of its “Sky
Screamer” coaster. The project required
ACME to piece mark the entire coaster at its location in
Houston,
Texas, carefully disassemble the unit at the tightly congested
site, move it by truck to Six Flags over St. Louis, at
Eureka,
Missouri, and store the unit until erection could begin.
The “Sky Screamer” stood over
120 feet in height, was constructed of structural steel components
and filled more than thirteen semi-truck trailers with materials
when finally disassembled. A date for the re-erection of the
coaster has yet to be set at the Eureka site.
