Schnuck Markets opened its first store in
1939, and today the independent grocer owns and operates more
than 90 state-of-the-art supermarkets in the Midwestern United
States. In addition, Schnucks owns and operates their own
bakery, packaging and distribution facilities to supply brand
name and private label products to their markets.
As a discriminating owner, Schnuck Markets
has selected ACME Erectors to execute several of its projects.
This work ranges in scope from maintenance and repair of
conveyor systems, to moving an entire bakery production
line. The bakery
relocation project included the removal, transportation and
installation of cold storage coolers, ice machines, dough
and
cream mixers, product make-up machines, conveyors, flow-through
ovens, bread slicers, hot product coolers, various fume
hoods,
hoists, shrink wrappers and a pan washer.
