Manufacturing Plant St. Louis, Missouri
Permea Corporation is a leader in the manufacture
of filters and equipment for the generation and recovery of
specialty gases. They operate a facility to produce their
products in the metropolitan St. Louis area. When Permea decided
to expand its facility, they selected ACME Erectors to serve
as their General Contractor.
ACME provided the manpower, materials and
equipment for the construction of a 6500 square foot addition
to the existing plant. Besides selective demolition in the
existing plant to accommodate the new construction, the work
for the new addition included the installation of concrete
footings and floor slabs, structural steel framing, roofing
and metal siding, insulation and MEP systems. In addition,
Acme installed product conveyors and modified Permea’s
flow-through manufacturing ovens. The schedule for the project
involved winter construction where Acme had to provide temporary
closures for the existing plant to keep it in operation.
