Mr. Freeze Shuttle Loop Coaster Eureka, Missouri
This high-tech, super fast coaster uses a
5,000 horsepower motor to launch a seven-ton train, and
its 20 passengers, on a 1,450-foot, two-minute ride. Powered
by one Linear Induction Motor, trains are catapulted out
of the station and reach speeds of 70 mph in just under
four
seconds. After the train leaves the station, rider’s
streak into a vertical climb while twisting into a 180-degree
inversion, then plummet back to earth and into a wrap around
turn before rocketing straight up 235 feet. Once the train
reaches the top of the tower, riders then experience the
same ride again, in reverse.
The track, tower and all of the supports
represent a very complex erection project which was performed
flawlessly
by ACME Erectors. In addition to the Mr. Freeze project,
ACME has also performed other projects at the site. This
includes
installing and anchoring the Tug Boat centerpiece for the
Six Flags Water Park and installing reinforcement gussets
and brackets for several of the existing rides.
