Structural Improvements St. Louis, Missouri
Colliers, Turley, Martin, Tucker Realty, one
of St. Louis largest commercial realty firms, found itself
with a prime property in the heart of downtown St. Louis,
in need of structural and seismic reinforcement of the existing
timber framing.
CTMT contracted with ACME Erectors for the
rehabilitation of the five-story, turn of the century, historic
structure. To make the project more challenging, ACME was
required to execute its work while the building was occupied.
The work included the installation of a queen-post truss system,
designed by EQE Engineers, to increase the loading capacity
of the existing floors, replacement of deteriorated floor
joists and the installation of engineered lumber to the sides
of existing wood floor beams to enhance their capacity.
