Contico, a Katy Industries company, has been
a manufacturer and distributor of consumer storage, home
and
automotive products for over 35 years. Their state-of-the-art
manufacturing plant in St. Louis, Missouri produces stamped
and extruded plastic components for storage boxes and other
uses. Contico elected to install a conveying system from
the
manufacturing area to feed their packaging and loading operation
and selected ACME Erectors to make that installation. The
system, manufactured by Hytrol, consists of approximately
2400 feet of 48” and 54” belted conveyors, with
numerous pedestrian and equipment cross-overs, and a number
of short feeder belts. In addition, ACME installed pallet
conveyors, stretch wrappers and transfer stations for the
system. ACME completed the installation in approximately
six weeks.
