Carondelet Historical Society
Window Replacement
St. Louis, Missouri

The Carondelet Historical Society was created in 1967 to preserve the rich heritage of the Carondelet area of St. Louis. In 1981, the Society acquired the former Des Peres School building to serve as its headquarters. A major renovation of the building was undertaken in the late 1990’s.

ACME Erectors, was selected for the installation of period windows for the facility. ACME’s work included demolition of existing masonry and wood framing and the installation of new, modern, double hung, arched top windows. The new windows maintained the historical appearance of the structure, while incorporating the latest technology in thermal efficiency.
