Ameren is a major power supplier to the St.
Louis metropolitan area. All work at Amerens facilities
is
done under the National Maintenance Agreement.
Portage Des
Sioux Boiler Platforms – At Ameren’s
Portage Des Sioux Plant, ACME Erectors contracted for the
installation of replacement platforms for Boiler No. 1.
This
work involved the installation and modification of access
platforms that had previously been purchased by the client.
The modifications were necessary to accommodate the installation
within the existing framework of the powerhouse. This work
was accomplished during a shutdown and required extensive
coordination with other trades.
